The Python is a double action revolver, manufactured by Colt Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut. Also it is known as "Combat Magnum". The destiny of this already discontinued Python was the segment market of luxury revolvers. Some collectors of firearms and writers such as Jeff Cooper, Ian V. Hogg, Chuck Hawks, Leroy Thompson and Renιe Smeets have described it as one of the best ever made revolvers.
